Appetizer – Chili Con Carne Meatballs served with a homemade ancho chile sauce & a sprinkling of cheese, paired with Skylight

Salad - Grapefruit Avocado Salad with a lemon mint dressing, paired with Warimono as a mimosa!

Entree - Beer Brined Pork Chops with a sweet onion apple chutney, served with sweet potatoes and asparagus, paired with Whipsaw

Dessert - Bourbon Pecan Pie served with a Dammit Jim! Ice Cream

 

August First Friday!

Come to First Friday tonight for a great night of Fun, Music, and Cappuccino flavored Lays Chips!

Texas Beach Band will be playing in the alley from 8-11 pm, and our very own Chad Scott, one of the 4 finalists in Lay’s national Do us a Flavor competition, will be sharing his new chip flavor!

Chad Scott is a Village Cafe regular and an all around great guy. Let’s pool our resources and support and Aggie all the way to the finish!

Chad will be at the cafe this Friday during First Friday giving out samples of the Cappuccino chip. He will be available to visit with while listening to the band in the alley!

Current Aggie student and Downtown Bryan supporter Chad Scott is one of four finalists in the Lay’s Do Us a Flavor contest. His flavor Cappuccino needs your votes to help him win 1 million dollars.

Voting begins on Monday July 28th and goes until Oct 18th!

You can vote to daily up to five times daily by using different social media – all of which are accessible at www.dousaflavor.com

Salad – Mixed Spinach Arugula Salad mixed with toasted almonds & Bombshell Blonde poached pears tossed in a lemon olive oil dressing paired w/ Walloon Grisette

Entree – Deconstructed Shepherd’s Pie- A generous piece of tender beef in a rich sauce served over creamy decadently buttered mashed potatoes with sides of sweet roasted carrots and fresh corn on the cob paired w/ Valkyrie

While some businesses downtown will be closed this Friday, there is still fun to be had!

A free event sponsored by Allen Honda 

 will be held at the Palace Theater located at the corner of Main and 26th Street in Downtown Bryan. The fun starts at 6 p.m. on July 4th and you won’t want to miss it!
The  

Brazos Valley TROUPE opens the celebration at 6 p.m. with a fun and festive patriotic vocal performance followed by the Brazos Valley Community Band at 7:30 p.m. To finish off the night, Disney’s “The Incredibles” will be showing at 9 p.m!

Free ice cream and soda will be provided by Blue Bell Ice Cream and Bryan Coca-Cola Bottling Company to keep you cool and refreshed. Come out and celebrate America with Downtown Bryan!

Also, The Urban Interface Wildlife Rescue and Sanctuary will be at the The Queen Theatre with Freyja, their Red Tailed Hawk!
