Natalie Jeane
7:30 – 9pm
Natalie Jeane

Natalie Jeane may be new to the singer-songwriter world, but she is no stranger to music.  Music might actually tell you that she stalked it from a very young age, and honestly it was a little frightened, but don’t let music fool you. It was a mutual love from the start.
At the delightfully awkward age of 8, Natalie fell into a 10-year romance with the flute and documented her world in poems, putting down ballads to school bullies and odes to moldy food in between the blue lines of her notebooks.
After leaving her flute and poetry behind for a busy college, Natalie found a creative outlet in her friend’s ukulele. Soon, she was combining her two loves to write songs about life and love, even dabbling in the subjects of tortillas and time travel.
In 2009, Natalie finally mustered up the courage to sing to more than just her rubber ducky family and joined a praise band at her church. Since then, she learned to play guitar and to fake piano.
Natalie Jeane strives to create songs about real life events, (or at least the way she sees them) whether she is reliving her own personal experiences or dramatizing the lives of her friends and family. It has been suggested that if you do not want to find yourself in a song, you should avoid a friendship with Natalie Jeane.
But she really isn’t as creepy as music told you she was. She’s a nice girl, really.

High Maintenance Bluegrass Band
“High Maintenance isn’t your average bluegrass band.  We get our band’s name from the challenging songs we choose to perform, such as “bluegrassed” covers of The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and other favorites.

Kevin Duff, Todd Pollard, Susannah Armstrong and Lynn McDaniel provide strong four-part harmonies on bluegrass, newgrass, gospel, rock/pop, country and original songs.  We’re frequently joined by guest artist and 2011 Texas State Mandolin Champion JP Shafer. “

Find them on Facebook and you can check out samples of some of the types of songs they sing.
