Bra Art Coming SOON! Submit your bra for display

Bra Art Event
Bra Art is coming!  Are you or your organization going to make a bra to honor a friend?

The Village Cafe will be once again adorning its walls with bras this April to benefit Health for All.  The inaugural event raised a healthy amount of funds for the non-profit clinic that provides access to free, high quality and comprehensive, primary and preventive health care for low income, and medically uninsured individuals in the Brazos Valley.

BRA ART is a fun and unique way to make a difference.
Artists, individuals, businesses and nonprofits submit original works of BRA ART to be showcased and auctioned during a night filled with light, color, movement, and most of all – attitude. All BRA ART is auctioned with 100% of the proceeds going to Health for All to help with local health needs.  More than 300 people joined us in 2015 to bid on 70 donated BRA ART entries.   Anyone is welcomed and encouraged to decorate a bra and submit it for display at The Village Cafe for the month of April.

Bra submission are due March 21st.
Many people use the artwork to honor a person or organization related to women’s health issues.  Come by The Village between March 29th and April 25th to vote on your favorite BRA!
The 2nd annual BRA ART EVENT & Auction will be Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Phillips Event Center.  Come enjoy appetizers, music and dancing while bidding on a bra to take home with you.  The bras voted most favorite will be put through a live auction during the evening.  Active bidding and an outpouring of support from amazing sponsors and attendees helped raise more than $26,000 last year.  10986951_661151910674784_2412890136105313357_o

This Thursday, the 19th from 6-8pm we will be having an artist reception for the guys from Drift.
They are the creative company that designed our new logo and developed the art979.com website for me.
It is a treat to have their work featured on the walls of the cafe.  They did a special project for this show and they researched old signs and businesses from Bryan/College Station’s past and recreated them to honor our community.
Come out and meet Gavin, Martin & Spencer and ask them about how the pieces came to be.  It is really on of my favorite shows to date.
Take a piece of true local art home with you!
